Kurt: “We are stuck in such a rut. We have been labeled. R.E.M. is what? College rock? That doesn’t really stick. Grunge is as potent a term as New Wave. You can’t get out of it. It’s going to be passé. You have to take a chance and hope that either a totally different audience accepts you or the same audience grows with you.”
Interviewer: “And what if the kids just say, “We don’t dig it, get lost.”
Kurt: “Oh, well. [Laughs]. Fuck ‘em.”

This is the First T-Shirt i make :P
As the first time i listened to Nirvana was on a trip, (and it was heavy-raining) Nirvana always remembers me of that grey sky and water drumming sound (that fit just well with Nirvana, for me). I wanted something really simple when I idealized the shirt. As it was grey, I boosted this washed tone with black and white, kind of inspired by ‘Bleach’ s artwork. I only use it on rainy days, (days when I wake up listening to the good Superfuzz Bigmuff, and proceed with aleatory SoundGarden, Alice in Chains and Melvins, remembering that feeling of my first steps into Seattle sound. ^^ good days…) I wrote Dive on it because of my rain-mood (I really love rain!!) and because it was the first song i learned to play in the bass :P

Kurt’s telecaster

(Via:newwaveboy): A few months ago I set out to build Kurt’s telecaster that he called “his new favorite” during the last weeks of his life, which he used while composing new material. The mods that Earnie Bailey made on it were fantastic, particularly the Gibson PAF/Duncan JB humbucker combo. The pickups together sound gorgeous:

I built everything to spec including the curious “two-tone” bridge piece, with the exception of the neck plate, which I felt the urge to do something really unique and one-of-a-kind with:

Can’t lie; I’m quite happy with how this bad boy turned out!
