Today in 1988, Nirvana performed at The Vogue in Seattle, WA. Kurt Cobain was sick with the flu and played part of the show lying down on the ground.

The unsent letter to Dave Foster (drummer for Nirvana, 1988) - Foster continued to never show up for band rehearsals as he lived several hours away. Kurt Cobain & Krist Novoselic finally decided to fire Foster after he was arrested for assaulting the son of the mayor in Cosmopolis, Washington. He [Dave Foster] was never told he was being let go from the band, he realized his release after seeing a poster featuring ‘Butthole Surfers & Blood Circus w/ Nirvana in Seattle’.
