"If you throw one more shoe or one more coin, I’m gonna turn on my guitar amplifier and leave for an hour and it’s gonna be massive feedback for an hour, because when one rotten apple in the class fucks it up, the rest have to suffer, Okay?" - Kurt Cobain speaking to the rambunctious crowd in Springfield, Massachusetts. Why does Kurt say "donkey show" or "pogo" or "everybody pogo" at live shows. What do they mean?

During live 1989 Germany shows, Krist would occasionally say over the mic between songs in German: ‘Danke’ which translates to ‘Thank You.’ Kurt found this word funny as it sounds very similar to ‘Donkey’ so he would throw ‘Donkey Show’ out behind Krist’s thank you.

The ‘Pogo/Everybody Pogo!’ was thrown out by members of Nirvana throughout their career, mostly 1993, Kurt liked the audience to jump up and down during their performances.
