"I know we’re gonna put out one more record, at least, and I have a pretty good idea what it’s going to sound like. Pretty ethereal, acoustic like R.E.M.’s last album. If I could write just a couple of songs as good as what they’ve written, I don’t know how that band does what they do. God, they’re the greatest. They’ve dealt with success like saints, and they keep delivering great music." - Kurt Cobain, October, 1993.

An advertisement in Seattle, Washington for someone desperately wanting a “Hot Date” for the Nirvana and Pearl Jam ‘MTV Live and Loud’ show in 1993. Pearl Jam later pulled out of the show because of Eddie Vedder’s voice and band exhaustion.

It reads: "I have tickets for the MTV show! ….Wanna be my Hot Date? If you are female, attractive, a dance fiend, not afraid of strangers and ready to party like it’s 1994! Then call to tell me all about your qualifications."

Kurt cobain use fender mustang to recording in utero??

No, he uses the Jaguar. You can click here for our ‘Studio Info' page and read more about the recording of 'In Utero.'

velcrolax inquired:

if you do find info about the in utero thermal could you publish it, i want one

They don’t sell them anymore, best chance is finding one on Ebay, which is where I found the image of the thermal.

Interesting find. This was apparently an ‘In Utero’ thermal from 1993. I’ve never heard of it before now. Any help on this would be very appreciated.

Kurt Cobain talks about a dream he had in 1993.

From Spin magazine, 1993:

Cobain moves to the far wall. "Time to get the Leadbelly records out." He hands one to me, a deep blue duo-tone adorning the time-worn jacket. "I think he’s still most popular among intellectual Jewish communists from the East Coast," Kurt says jokingly. One of the rarest of his Leadbelly records is cracked, and he explains Courtney isn’t always so good at taking care of records. Recently, Cobain says, a lawyer representing the Leadbelly estate phoned up, offering him the only guitar Leadbelly ever had. "But it was $500,000. I can’t afford that," he shrugs his shoulders, moving over to another stack of albums, and smiles sarcastically. "I just wish there was some really rich Rock star I could borrow the cash from."
