What are your favorite Nirvana lyrics?
It seems that there are numerous shows over the span of Nirvana's touring career that have been professionally shot, particularly in Europe. Krist also mentioned once that there is "a ton of video" unseen or rarely seen. Any chance that any of these pro-shot shows will see an official release of some sort?
Of course! We will be seeing another live show hopefully by 2013 for the 20th of “In Utero” unless someone says otherwise. If I remember correctly, the original plan was to release the Paradiso, Amsterdam show instead of Paramount Theatre for the 20th Anniversary of “Nevermind”, or it was an idea. They ended up deciding on Paramount, and VPRO streamed the Amsterdam performance in it’s full over their website.
MTV could do the very same with ‘Live & Loud’, which we get numerous suggestions on. Last I heard, Krist & Dave strongly disliked the footage from the Hollywood Rock Festivals (both performances) in their first two shows, 1993. With the recent change in control, it’s also possible that we could get another tape released similar to the “Live! Tonight! Sold Out!!”.
Today in 1992, Nirvana performed at The Fisherman’s Wharf in Gold Coast, Australia! The show took place in the parking lot (Fishy’s Carpark) and the band opened with “Aneurysm”, also playing “Drain You, School & Floyd The Barber”. Violent Femmes were another performer. If anyone has more information on this gig, share it with us, we’d appreciate it!
